My work begins with what you have: a photograph, a person, or an idea that is hard to describe. From there, I develop a painting that balances likeness with atmosphere. Each piece is created as something you can live with and return to over time. It can preserve a person, carry an idea forward, or simply bring character and energy into a space.

"It’s the most beautiful piece. I love it. I am in awe that it is me in the painting. I am seeing myself for the very first time — in such a different way than I have always considered myself. The juxtaposition is humbling, inspiring, and eye opening, all at the same time. It breaks through adolescent ugly duckling narratives and insecurities that have carried forward for decades and shines a light on my inner beauty and strength. I am beyond grateful.
It’s priceless and we will treasure it always."

"Heart-warming, playful, youthful, serendipitous, and full of joy. What started off as a simple picture capturing a beautiful moment shared between loved ones, became a momentum to the life I have lived and the experiences that brought me to where I am. Reminding me of the love I was able to share and receive. I get to look back at this moment with my heart full and bursting with gratitude!"

"I didn’t expect it to hit me the way it did. You hand over a photo and a few weeks later there’s this thing on your wall that somehow looks more like you than the photo ever did. It’s a weird, quiet feeling — like being truly seen.”

“I really like how you handled the paint. It doesn’t feel flat at all. The thicker, textured areas give it a real sense of weight, and the softer, more open parts keep it from getting heavy. The colors are especially strong. There’s clearly more going on than just natural tones, and that choice makes it feel more alive and convincing. The shifts between warm and cool, especially in the shadows, add a depth that stands out. Overall, it feels very intentional and considered, not just accurate.”
