Avery Lanell (b. Newport Beach, CA; lives and works in Seattle, WA) is an oil painter who earned her BA in Fine Art from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in 2025, where she received the Yoko Radke Award for Excellence in Figurative Painting, the Michael Byron Rush Memorial Award for Excellence in 2D, and Rainbow ʻOhana Honors distinction.

Lanell has exhibited her work across Hawai‘i and the continental United States, including the Seattle Convention Center, Manini Gallery in Honolulu, and has had multiple shows at the University of Hawai‘i Commons Gallery. Her work has been featured in Ānuenue Review, Vol. III (2023) as well as Greet Mercer Island: From Mercer Island to Maui, An Artistic Journey.

She has completed private portrait commissions and a public mural commission in Buena Vista, Colorado, and has contributed to institutional spaces including the Honolulu Museum of Art and Bellevue Arts Museum.
