The monstrous contraptions of bodies so beautiful and strong is how I experience the world's dominant view on women.
A woman's power is fetishized and projected onto her physical skin out of fear and misunderstanding. Why am I trained to treat my body as the enemy? I am constantly experiencing both the gratitude and frustration of being socialized as a woman and born into this body.
The contrast between violent strokes and soft shapes expresses the struggle of owning weaponized body parts. Bodies morph, colors blend, and brush strokes twist to embody the growing pains of tragedy and triumph in modern femininity.
